Advanced Armament Corp, or AAC, is a brand known for making firearms and firearm suppressors, commonly known as silencers by many. AAC also sells accessories and parts for guns. They design and manufacture pistol silencers and rifle silencers. Advanced Armament Corp has a lifetime warranty for every single of its suppressors and each one is made in the USA. AAC was founded by Kevin Brittingham in 1994 with the intent to manufacture sound suppressors. Under Brittingham’s leadership, AAC grew to be one of the largest manufacturers of silencers in the United States. In 2009 Brittingham sold the company to Remington Arms. They then moved their facility from Lawrenceville, GA to a larger facility in Huntsville, AL. Advanced Armament Corp is responsible for much of the innovation in the silencer industry. They were the first to manufacture interchangeable pistons that allowed suppressors to be changed from one firearm to another, despite different thread patterns. AAC has silencers for almost every firearm caliber between .22 and .50. AAC manufactures the M4-2000 which is used by several branches of the military, including Navy Seals. AAC helped formh a nonprofit trade association called the American Silencer Association (ASA) with a mission to “further the pursuit of education, public relations, legislation, hunting applications, and military applications for the silencer industry”. They also partner with the NRA in grassroots lobbying in an effort to educate voters about gun legislation.
