The Browning 1911-22 is a scaled down rimfire version of the venerable 1911 in .45ACP that won 2 world wars and served the U.S military until being replaced by the Beretta M9. Not satisfied with simply tossing a rimfire conversion kit onto a full sized frame and calling it a day, Browning Arms Co designed the 1911-22 from the ground up as a .22lr handgun for the best possible performance. At 85% size of the original, the Browning 1911-22 is perfect for kids or those smaller in stature. A faithful reproduction of the 1911 pistol, the Browning 1911-22 shares all the same controls, and it mimics a G.I style pistol with low mount combat sights and military style trigger, hammer, and grip safety. The Crisp clean single action trigger is excellent for teaching new shooters trigger control, and allows fast and accurate follow up shots. One of the biggest advantages of having the 1911-22 built up as a dedicated .22lr rimfire pistol is the slide doesn't need as much mass as larger calibers, which results in less force required to work the slide and less finicky about ammunition. The anodized aluminum frame is finished in tan which is a nice contrast to the black slide.
